Exhibits within the museum feature artifacts original to the single-family home during their lifetimes, information and documentation of their enterprising activities in the region and the nation, and family history. The Moss Mansion is managed by the Billings Preservation Society and operates as a historic house museum in Billings, Montana supported by a large volunteer pool, students, and small staff. Funding sources are events, fundraisers, and guided tours, small one-time grants, memberships, and gifts, with a growing Endowment for sustaining the future of the historic site. Annual events include SpringFest juried art show and sale, Cigar Dinner, Party for Preservation, Halloween Maze, Haunted House, and a grand Christmas Tree Display. This October 16th and 17th: You are invited to an immersive cocktail experience that combines a little bit of murder, a little bit of intrigue, and a whole lot of Clue-themed fun. Come find the clues to see if you can crack the case! As you sleuth your way through the house you will enjoy a series of lovely cocktails to keep up your energy - then once you solve the mystery, you can gain entry to the Moss Speakeasy where you can enjoy a brew and brag about being one of Billings’ best detectives!

Choose the ticket time that works best for you, this will be the time that you will enter the mansion to begin your night. Your reservation includes tastings of 4, Clue-themed cocktails (non-alcoholic options available as well), a craft b**r, and a wickedly fun experience in the 1903 mansion during this spooky time of year. ID is required and a wristband issued for “fully spirited” beverage service.

We are back with our ever-so-popular Ghost Tours 👻

You are cordially invited to celebrate the start of the spooky season at the Moss Mansion! We will be shutting off the lights and sharing our ghost stories while walking you through the history of the Moss. Guests will hear a compilation of stories and experiences had by Staff and Volunteers, as well as findings by multiple Montana Paranormal Society investigations. Come and tour the museum this October, space is limited so book soon as these tickets will be going fast!

Ghost Tours are offered on the first four Thursdays and every Sunday of October at 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8 PM. Happy haunting!

Come one, come all to the Moss Mansion's Monster Ball! Don your capes and shine your spooky shoes, the ball of the season will be underway this year at the Moss! Prepare yourselves for a Halloween night to remember with dancing, cocktails, a photobooth and more!

There will be three horrifyingly delicious cocktails on offer while you dance the night away to DJ Dan of Black-Tie Productions MT - he will be keeping this Monster Ball rocking through the night! The best monster costume will be awarded at 9:00 for all the competitive cosplayers out there!

Your reservation and payment of $55 includes admission to the mansion and grounds, specialized cocktails and appetizers to enjoy in one of our themed lounges (non-alcoholic options available too), as well as photobooth pictures and plenty of dancing. There will also be alcohol for purchase at our bar under the tent.

Know before you go: The festivities will begin at 7:00pm and will go until 10:00pm. You will need to report to the back of the Mansion upon arrival to check-in. Cocktails and appetizers will be inside where there will be themed lounges on different levels of the mansion, so be ready for plenty of stairs with sensible shoes. The dance floor will be under our large event tent outside.

Please bring a form of ID if you purchased a 21 and over ticket. Reservations are not eligible for a refund but may be transferred by calling 406-256-5100.
