In just ONE WEEK on June 6th: the Moss Mansion welcomes you to the 37th annual SpringFest – a spectacular art and craft festival, all beautifully presented on the museum’s lawn. SpringFest delivers a day of shopping, live music, delicious food and fun activities for kids of all ages. Featuring over 50 juried artists and thousands of unique treasures, it’s the perfect place to shop, relax and connect with friends while enjoying one of Montana’s best historic places.

The day begins with a delicious pancake breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Then from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. shoppers will delight as they explore works of art and fine crafts presented by the artists. This year’s festival features a wide variety of handmade art in mediums such as jewelry, photography, clothing/textiles, leather, wood, pottery/clay, paintings and prints, and more.

A selection of foods including tacos and burgers, plus beverages including mimosas, Bloody Mary’s, and locally brewed beer are on hand to fuel your day of shopping. And, for anyone with a sweet tooth, there’s kettle corn, homemade baked goods and ice cream!

Watch artists demonstrate their work or take in the sights and sounds of performers at three stages.

Little ones will also find fun things to do in the children’s area complete with games, face painting, sno-cones and cotton candy.

Admission to SpringFest is free! The Moss Mansion and Gift Shop, located at 914 Division St., Billings, MT, will be open for self-guided tours from 10am – 4pm at regular tour prices.

All proceeds from artist booth fees, donation jars and food and drink sales benefit Moss Mansion’s operations and ongoing preservation projects.

On June 27th: There's a new sheriff in town, and they don't want any trouble... trouble may be on the menu however, when certain cowboys come strolling into town! Start the evening at the saloon with a glass of champagne, and you just might end the evening solving a murder. Everyone’s a player and anyone could be the murderer, so be on your guard! Dress in costume (saloon dresses or cowboy gear - no spurs please!) and enjoy an evening of dinner and drinks while you collect evidence and solve the crime. There will be plenty of exciting twists as you experience the Moss Mansion in a new way.

After completing your purchase, you will receive email confirmation. Then, approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the murder mystery we’ll email you a custom character description along with costume suggestions to the email listed in your online reservation. Reservations are $100 per person. There are no paper tickets, refunds, and unfortunately, no waiting lists. Attendance is limited.

There are only a few spots left for our Harry Potter Summer Camp!

The Moss Mansion is once again transforming to Mogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Young witches and wizards will have a week full of Harry Potter-themed activities and experiences. Each day students will attend classes including Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, and more! Crafts, House games, scavenger hunts, and more are in store for this magical summer adventure!
Who: Kids ages 10 to 14

Where: Moss Mansion Museum and Grounds
When: All sessions are one week long, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 12 pm.
Session 1: June 15 - 19
How Many: We accept up to 24 participants per session. Your registration form with full payment is considered on a first come/first served basis, deadline June 1st, 2026.

All materials will be provided. Participants must be able to climb stairs, follow instructions, and work independently. Some activities will be outside and some will be in rooms without air conditioning – please be sure to dress appropriately and to describe any sensitivities, allergies, and other considerations in the attached registration material. Supervision is not provided before or after the session times below.
