As we head into fire season, we want our community to know that preparations are already underway across the country β€” and right here at home too. πŸš’πŸ”₯

Wildfire response takes teamwork at every level, from local volunteer departments to state and federal resources working together to protect lives, homes, livestock, and our land.

Please remember:
🏠 Create defensible space around your home
🏠 Have an evacuation plan ready
🏠 Stay alert to weather and fire conditions
🏠 Don’t wait until smoke is visible to prepare

We appreciate all the firefighters, dispatchers, pilots, medics, ranchers, and volunteers who step up during fire season.

Stay safe out there, Montana. ❀️

We’re ready for fire season.

The safety of firefighters and the public is always our first priority.

This year, we’re bringing unmatched capacity to the interagency wildfire response system.

With 28,000+ responders, 400+ aircraft and crews positioned nationwide, we’re prepared to respond quickly and reduce harm to people, homes and important natural resources.
