Members of our Chenango Valley team recently attended the Tier One Best Practices Institute in Syracuse.

The team explored ways to strengthen teaching, create supportive learning environments, and help every student succeed. They are excited to bring what they learned back to our schools as we prepare for the 2026–27 school year.

Thank you to our educators for continuing to learn, grow, and work together for our students and families!

Meet Mrs. Preston, our new Chenango Valley Middle School principal and a familiar face on the CV team!

Mrs. Preston is beginning her tenth year at CV, where she has served as a secondary math teacher and, most recently, an elementary assistant principal. Before joining CV, she taught secondary math at Union-Endicott High School for five years.

With experience supporting students in both the classroom and school leadership, Mrs. Preston is excited to return to the secondary level. She is looking forward to continuing to build meaningful relationships with our students, families, and staff.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Preston on her new role! As we wrap up our administrator introductions, we’re excited for the year ahead and for our school community to get to know each of these leaders.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Camp Firefly yesterday!

It was an evening filled with fun, connection, and plenty of smiles as families came together to begin "lighting the way back to school."

We're grateful to our staff and community partners for helping make the event possible, and to all of the families who spent part of their evening with us.

Here are just a few photos from the fun!

Meet Mrs. Moschak, our new Director of Special Education!

Mrs. Moschak brings 20 years of experience in education to CV. Throughout her career, she has served as a Director of Special Education, an assistant principal in the PALS Program at Broome-Tioga BOCES, and a speech-language pathologist.

She believes every child deserves to be known, valued, and supported in reaching their potential. As both an educator and the parent of two children who attend CV schools, Mrs. Moschak is especially honored to take on this role in a community that means so much to her.

Mrs. Moschak looks forward to building strong partnerships with students, families, and staff while helping ensure every learner has the support they need to feel successful and know they belong.

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Moschak to her new role at CV!

Meet Mrs. Miller, our new assistant principal serving Port Dickinson and Chenango Bridge elementary schools!

Before joining CV, Mrs. Miller taught second grade at Whitney Point Central School District, where she also completed her administrative internship. Her experience in both the classroom and school leadership has prepared her to support students, families, and staff across the elementary years.

Mrs. Miller is looking forward to building relationships throughout our school community and helping every student feel inspired, engaged, and empowered. She is excited to learn what being a Warrior means to our students, families, and staff.

Fun fact: Mrs. Miller was recently married and is proud to become a third-generation “Miller” at Chenango Valley!

Please join us in giving Mrs. Miller a warm welcome to CV. She will also join Mrs. Bryant at an upcoming meet-and-greet for families and students. We’ll share the details this afternoon!
