🦋Smart Decisions! Healthy Futures! Youth Empowerment Program🦋

💜Recently, our youth participated in a powerful conversation about "Choices and Consequences." The youth explored real‑life consequences and the importance of thinking beyond the moment.

🌟The discussion was thoughtful and honest. They performed a skit that illustrated healthy decision‑making, and also created beautiful butterfly art through hand‑painting!

💚A special thanks to Reginald Harris and Dr. Crystal Pollard for joining us & speaking to the youth! Of course, it’s always wonderful when Dr. Mark & Angela Haynes can join the event!

🦋A special thank you to our guest speakers, Dr. Crystal Pollard and Minister Robert Harris, for pouring wisdom into our young people and sparking such thoughtful conversations. Our delicious mean from Chicken Salad Chick was perfect for the occasion!

🦋Every strong program needs a strong leader, and we are so grateful to have Yakima Burch guiding our mentorship efforts!

💜As Director of Mentoring, Yakima leads the charge in training, organizing, and guiding our mentor team. She plays a vital role in building structured support systems for women transitioning out of sober living environments or navigating challenges. Her focus is on making sure every mentor who enters our Recovery Enrichment Program is fully equipped with the tools, empathy, and perspective needed to support our mentees effectively.

💚Her passion for lifting up others inspires our entire organization and reminds us daily of the transformative power of community and mentorship.

💜There are volunteers who help you grow, and then there are the foundational pillars who have been there helping build the entire house. Today, we are filled with so much gratitude as we shine a bright spotlight on Mrs. Barbara Ross, who has been with our organization since the very beginning!

🦋From day one, Ms. Barbara has poured her time, her heart, and her unwavering belief into our mission. She has walked with us through every milestone over the past five years, celebrated every victory, and stood by our side to ensure our community always has a safe, supportive place to turn. Her years of loyalty, wisdom, and dedication have deeply shaped who we are today.

🦋Our Smart Decisions! Healthy Futures! Youth Empowerment Program is designed to give young people the tools, confidence, and support they need to make decisions that lead to strong, healthy futures. Through transformative activities, we help youth discover their strengths and choose what's right when others choose differently.

💜Rooted in our core values of empowerment, support, creativity, and community, this program opens important conversations about substance use prevention, healthy decision-making, conflict resolution, and more.
