🐄 A couple of weeks ago, we hosted our first-ever Beef Bonanza, and it was a great day of learning and hands-on experiences for youth interested in the beef industry!

Participants had the opportunity to:
🥩 Learn about meat processing and careers in the industry from Country Roads Meat Market
🐮 Practice calf-pulling techniques with an Iowa State University Extension veterinarian
🧼 Discover how to properly fit and prepare cattle for the show ring
🌽 Explore cattle nutrition and feeding strategies

A huge thank you to all of our guest speakers for sharing their time and expertise with the youth. We also want to thank the Davis County Cattlemen's for grilling lunch for everyone in attendance!

We are looking forward to hosting Beef Bonanza again in the future!

⚙️🛠️ Tomorrow is our Build-It Blast Camp! 🛠️⚙️

Youth will put their engineering skills to the test as they design and construct their own cardboard masterpieces using Makedo Tools. Creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on fun are all part of the experience!

🍀A huge thank you from the Chequest Eagles 4-H Club! 🍀

Last Thursday, the Chequest Eagles 4-H Club hosted their annual Chicken Dinner Fundraiser and would like to thank everyone who came out to support the event. Your support helps make 4-H opportunities possible for our members and is greatly appreciated!

The club would also like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as they worked through some unexpected mechanical difficulties that delayed food preparation.

Thank you for supporting Davis County 4-H and the Chequest Eagles 4-H Club!

Summer Camps Kick-Off Next Week! 🔆

There’s something for everyone this summer! Youth will have the chance to design and build like an engineer, explore the world of esthetics, investigate like a detective, and much more through fun, hands-on activities. 🕵️‍♀️🔬⚙️
