🐺🏀 Wolves, check out our AMAZING gym remodel! 🏀🐺

This incredible space is ready for Wolf Pride, school spirit, teamwork, and unforgettable memories! We are so grateful to our voters for helping make this transformation possible for our Wolves.

Talk about a glow-up... 🤩 The Mountain View Middle School gym received a much-needed makeover this summer. The work included new flooring, bleachers and paint for a refreshed, vibrant and branded multi-use space, just in time for the first day of school!

We’re excited to welcome Katrina Walker to the Mountain View Middle School Pack! This year, Katrina will be teaching 6th Grade Science and 6th Grade Leadership.
With an incredible 25 years as a public school teacher, Katrina brings a wealth of experience and a passion for helping students learn, lead, and grow. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University and her Master of Arts in Teaching from Willamette University.
Outside of school, Katrina loves hiking with family and friends, traveling the world, and line dancing! 🥾🌎💃
Katrina is the proud parent of two grown children who both attend Washington State University (GO COUGS! 🐾), and her corgi, Echo, goes everywhere with her! She grew up in Oregon and has called Washington home for the past 24 years. She absolutely loves the Pacific Northwest! Welcome to the pack!

Meet Dane Carlson!
Dane Carlson is joining Mountain View Middle School as a 6th Grade ELA/Social Studies and 8th Grade ELA teacher. This is his first year teaching, and we are so excited to welcome him to the Wolf Pack!
Dane attended Central Washington University and grew up on Camano Island. Outside of school, he enjoys mountain biking, hunting, golfing, fishing, playing basketball, and spending time with family and friends.
Dane’s wife is also an educator at Crestwood Elementary, and they are excited to welcome their first child—a baby girl—this year!
We are thrilled to have Dane joining our Wolf Pack. Welcome to Mountain View, Mr. Carlson! 🐺

Our first Wolf Pride Night was a huge success! It was so great meeting all of our incoming sixth graders and their families. We’re already looking forward to seeing you every day at Mountain View Middle School! Welcome to the Pack, Wolves!

Meet Our New Assistant Principal, Chris Tartaglia! 🐺
We’re excited to welcome a new member to the Wolf Pack! Our new Assistant Principal brings a unique blend of education, healthcare, leadership, and military experience.
He spent five years teaching in Federal Way Public Schools and is a proud U.S. Navy veteran. Before entering education, he worked in hospital management. He earned his undergraduate degree in Healthcare Management from the University of Washington, a master’s degree in Elementary Education from WGU, and his Principal Certification from Pacific Lutheran University.
Outside of school, family is at the heart of everything he does. He and his wife, Jessica, have been together for 16 years and are raising their growing family: daughters Sofia (5) and Amelia (3), newborn son Elias, and their two dogs, Nova and Millie.
When he’s not at school, you’ll find him spending time with family, enjoying great food, working out, cheering on athletics, or enjoying anything and everything Star Wars!
We’re so excited to have him joining the Wolf Pack! Welcome to Mountain View!

🐺 The Pack Is Back! 🐺
Our MMS staff have been so excited to get the pack back together this week! From collaborating and learning together at district convocation to welcoming new staff members, it has been a wonderful week of reconnecting and preparing for the year ahead. Just like our students, we’ve missed our friends! After a refreshing summer, we’re back feeling energized, excited, and ready to welcome our Wolves. Here’s to a PAW-some year filled with learning, growth, connection, and plenty of memories. We can’t wait to make this the best year ever!

ASB had our annual Summer Lock-IN today, filled with team-building, a lot of laughter, and some incredible hard work to prepare for the upcoming school year. Here’s what we accomplished:

Staff Appreciation: Worked on posters for EVERY staff member at MMS and thought of creative ways to honor the adults in MMS!
Yearly Planning: They locked in the themes for our four major Spirit Weeks and brainstormed inclusive, high-fun lunch activities for every quarter.
School Culture: They mapped out ideas for school dances, planned secret staff spirit days, and brainstormed ways to improve our assemblies and student recognition. Way to go, Wolves!
