Last week, Foster Grandparents from ABCD participated in the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Walk alongside Central Boston Elder Services.

Launched in 2006 by the United Nations, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day aims to bring attention to the roughly 5 million older adults worldwide who experience abuse, neglect, and exploitation each year.

Great to be a part of last week's Boston Wellness Day in Dorchester!

The event addressed rising health needs and disparities and offered health screenings, practical health education, expert panels, resource navigation, food distribution, and family activities.

Last week, ABCD celebrated the 60th anniversary of our Foster Grandparents program at the Venezia in Dorchester, marking 6 decades of a service that enriches the lives of both elders and youth across the city.
