Student Veterans: Are you ready to shape veteran policy in Massachusetts while building a high-impact professional network? The Executive Office of Veterans Services (EOVS) invites you to apply for the Student Veteran Council (SVC) cohort for the 2026–2027 academic year.

As an SVC Representative, you’ll serve as the official spokesperson for student veterans at your institution, driving meaningful change across your campus and the Commonwealth.

What’s in It for You?

Direct Access to Employers: Tour top "Veteran-Ready" businesses and meet directly with Talent Acquisition teams. Learn exactly how to translate your military experience, network with hiring managers, and position yourself for top post-graduation job opportunities.

Resume-Building Leadership Skills: Gain hands-on experience in strategic leadership, policy advocacy, public speaking, and community organizing—key differentiators for future employers.

A Powerful Statewide Network: Collaborate with a select cohort of 30 student veteran leaders across Massachusetts, building professional relationships and peer mentorships that last well beyond college.

Direct Influence on State Policy: Advocate directly to state government officials to improve policies, resources, and support systems for student veterans statewide.

What You’ll Do (Cohort Responsibilities)

Participate in monthly virtual and in-person statewide meetings.

Attend the October SVC Kickoff Event and contribute to four annual newsletters.

Represent student veterans at local events, socials, and career fairs.

Take part in three local community service initiatives during the academic year (e.g., flag planting, food bank support).

How to Apply Applications close at 5:00 P.M. EST on September 25, 2026.

Complete the online Student Veteran Council Application to submit your candidacy.

For questions or additional details, reach out to the team at [email protected].
