Hearth, Inc. - ending elder homelessness

Hearth, Inc. - ending elder homelessness Hearth is dedicated to the elimination of homelessness among the elderly. We house, prevent, and/or stabilize housing for individuals over 50.

We manage 228 units of permanent supportive housing and an Outreach program, which helps over 250 elders each year to find and succeed in housing of their own. Recently we partnered with the Corporation for Supportive Housing to create a National Initiative to End Elder Homelessness.

Shelters offer a bed for the night. Permanent supportive housing offers a lease with your name on it.

Permanent supportive housing at Hearth pairs stable housing with on-site case management and healthcare coordination, so residents stay housed for good and can age with dignity and respect—without worrying about where they're going next.

"It can be frightening to put that key in the door and then close that door behind you," she says.
