We're proud to share that Northwestern Mutual Greater Tampa Bay has been recognized with the One Tampa Bay Award from Tampa Bay Business Journal.

This honor celebrates organizations making a meaningful impact across the Tampa Bay community, and we're grateful to be recognized alongside so many outstanding local organizations.

Our commitment to community involvement is at the heart of who we are. Our Lemon Drop the Mic event is quickly approaching in November and we’d be remiss to not recognize the role organizations like Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and 1Voice Foundation played in us receiving this recognition. Thanks to them, we have been able to help children and families impacted by childhood cancer, while bringing together clients, employees and community partners around a shared purpose.

We are incredibly thankful to everyone who has helped support these efforts over the years. This recognition belongs to our team, our partners and our community.
We're already looking ahead to Lemon Drop the Mic 2026 this November and the opportunity to continue making a difference together! 🍋🎗

The 1Voice Academy partnered with Mobile STEM Academy last year as an education partner. Miss Stephanie brings her STEM lessons and activities to schools and groups to provide a fun, educational experience. Last night the students participated in a Halloween theme science lab and were thrilled to see the reaction and results of their own experiments! Thank you Miss Stephanie! We will see you in November and December and can’t wait!

Miss CJ, Booze and Bubbles Tampa, (no Booze) taught a delicious mixology class tonight with Fall flavors for the whole family! It was entertaining, educational and delicious. The group learned how to make three festive beverages for Thanksgiving and went home with a recipe card to make during the Holidays. Thank you CJ for a great evening together.

Always great when Coach Nicole Kettermann visits the 1Voice Academy. She talked to our parents tonight regarding the YMCA Thriver’s Program, designed to build back strength after treatment. The program is open to the whole family for a free 3 month membership and offered at most Tampa Bay YMCA’s. She got to see Ellie, a graduate of the Thriver’s program. ❤️

Today was ever so special for Parker, 5, a full time student at the 1Voice Academy.

When Parker was diagnosed with leukemia, he received a goody bag from the Tampa Bay Lightning. In it was an autographed picture of Anthony Cirelli. Parker was so happy that he has brought the picture to every admission since for two years.

Parker was suppose to walk a Player in to Benchmark International Arena last year for NHL Fights Cancer, but was to sick and had to cancel and was so disappointed.

So, when the Tampa Bay Lightning reached out to us to see if we had a family for a Meet and Greet with Anthony Cirelli, you know what happened next!

Parker, a Goalie, his brother Chase, an accomplished hockey player, along with sister Mia and their parents, had a very special experience today and Parker got to meet the Player who has inspired him all through treatment.
