Business Connect Hours, where businesses, property owners, and entrepreneurs can drop-in to the Brea Civic & Cultural Center to obtain a variety of resources and one-on-one interaction with City staff, aimed to help navigate how to start, manage, and grow their businesses.

The Business Connect Hours will take place every Wednesday from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. No appointment is needed.

PLEASE NOTE- Wednesday, August 26 there will be no business connect hours. They will resume Wednesday, September 2.

Want a thriving landscape that helps protect OC’s water resources? Utilize soil amendments!

Soil amendments like compost and mulch are waterway-safe ways to improve soil structure, help retain water in your garden, and reduce water use. But if applied during a windy or rainy day, they can flow untreated into our waterways.

Here’s how to use compost and mulch the waterway-safe way:
- Keep them on soil, not on sidewalks or driveways.
- Water by hand to prevent runoff.

Healthy soil means flourishing plants and clean water bodies.

SoCalGas will be performing work on Randolph Avenue, between Imperial Highway and Brea Mall as part of the Brea Mall Redevelopment Project. This work includes gas main installation and street restoration and will be completed in multiple phases with varying traffic control measures.

Phase 1 will consist of daytime work with partial lane closures on Randolph Avenue. At least one lane will remain open to traffic at all times to maintain access.

Phases 2 and 3 will be nighttime work in order to minimize impacts on daytime traffic. Night work is expected to last 10 days and will require a full closure of northbound Randolph Avenue during the hours listed below.

Dates/Hours of work:
Phase 1: 08/24/2026 – 08/28/2026, from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Phase 2: 08/30/2026 – 09/03/2026, from 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Phase 3: 09/06/2026 – 09/10/2026, from 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Updates will be provided should there be any changes to the project schedule. Please plan your route accordingly.

Orange County’s Mosquito and Vector Control District has confirmed an outbreak of a mosquito-borne illness that can be deadly. The district helps to control vector and mosquito-related problems within the county. One of the ways they do this is by setting up routine traps for these insects and animals to observe weekly. Residents can do their part by reducing sources for mosquito larvae to grow. Standing water should be dumped and drained once a week. By doing so, any bacteria or larvae growing in
the water will be killed.
