The Breda American Legion Post 607 is proud to announce that Tyler Renze, son of Ryan and Jacque Renze, has been selected to attend American Legion Boys State, which will be held June 21–26 at Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center in Johnston, Iowa.
Tyler is recognized for his strong academic achievements and commitment to leadership, service, and extracurricular involvement. At East Sac County High School, he has been an active member of Student Council for the past five years, demonstrating a dedication to representing his fellow students and helping improve his school community.
In addition to his leadership activities, Tyler participates in football, wrestling, and competitive trapshooting. Whether on the field, on the mat, or at the shooting range, he is known for his hard work, determination, and sportsmanship.
When he is not working out, competing, or spending time with friends, Tyler can often be found working or volunteering within the local community. His positive attitude and willingness to help others have made him a respected role model among his peers.
After high school, Tyler hopes to pursue a career in either Criminal Investigation and Psychology or a science and healthcare-related field. A lifelong fan of the University of Iowa, he has his sights set on attending the university as he works toward achieving his future goals.
American Legion Boys State is a premier six-day leadership and civics program that provides hands-on experiences in the operation of government. Through the LEADS curriculum—Learn, Engage, Accept, Do, and Share—participants develop leadership skills, gain a deeper understanding of government, and build lifelong friendships while learning the importance of civic engagement.
