The Bridgeport Public Library serves as the principal public library for the City of Bridgeport, the largest municipality in Connecticut. A city of over 145,000 residents where more than 60 languages are spoken, Bridgeport is one of the most densely populated cities in the U.S. BPL has six library locations:

Yep! Your Bridgeport Public Library card gives you access to a FREE Museum Pass to Beardsley Zoo for up to 6 guests. 🐾🌿

Passes are available at the children’s circulation desk at all BPL locations on a first come, first served basis and can be checked out for 3 days.

In honor of Memorial Day, all BPL locations will be closed Saturday, May 23 through Monday, May 25.

We will reopen with regular hours on Tuesday May 26th. 💛 Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful holiday weekend as we remember and honor those who served.
