Last week we placed 18 new sets of turn out gear into service. This investment was funded by the previously approved bond initiative and replaces aged gear that has surpassed the recommended life time.

We appreciate the support of our community members that allow us to provide updated safety equipment to our personnel!

This past week we celebrated a traditional badge pinning ceremony of two Firefighters - Firefighter Overcast and Firefighter King. This ceremony represents the completion of a tedious probationary process and the hard work these gentlemen dedicated over the last 12 months.

Congratulations Firefighter Overcast and Firefighter King and we look forward to what the future holds for you both!!

đźš’ Now in Service: Engine 3 đźš’

As of yesterday, Truck 9818 has officially been placed into service as Engine 3 for the Brookline Fire Protection District.

This new Ferrara Custom Cab Engine, equipped with a 1,000-gallon water tank, replaces our 1999 Freightliner single cab engine. This upgrade provides our firefighters with modern technology, improved safety features, and enhanced capabilities to better serve our community.

Engine 3 represents another completed project of the previously approved Bond Initiative.

While Engine 3 is already serving our community, we look forward to celebrating its arrival with an official Push-In Ceremony. Be sure to watch our page for details on this special event in the coming weeks—we’d love for our community to join us as we officially welcome Engine 3 into our fleet.

As always, thank you for your continued support of the Brookline Fire Protection District. If you see Engine 3 out in the community, be sure to give our firefighters a wave!

🚧 Progress at Brookline Station 2! 🚧

We’re excited to share some of the progress taking place at Brookline Station 2!

Over the past several weeks, we’ve given the station a fresh new look with a complete exterior paint job, and we’re continuing to work on several additional facelift projects to improve both the appearance and functionality of our facilities!

While these updates may seem cosmetic, taking pride in our stations reflects the pride we have in serving our community. We want our firefighters to have a facility they can be proud of, and we want our citizens to see that we’re committed to maintaining the buildings they’ve invested in.

You will also see a sneak peak at another great addition to our fleet that will be going into service in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned for details on that project!

As always, thank you to our community for your continued support of the Brookline Fire District. 🚒❤️

🚒 You may have noticed we’ve been a little quieter on social media lately—but rest assured, we’ve been anything but quiet behind the scenes and in our day-to-day operations.

While our firefighters continue responding to emergencies, training, and serving our community, our administrative team has also been hard at work pursuing funding opportunities that help reduce the financial burden on our taxpayers.

We are excited to announce that Brookline Fire Protection District has recently submitted grant applications totaling $3,031,836.33 to support critical projects that will strengthen emergency services throughout our district and region.

These projects include:
âś… Funding for additional career staffing to improve response capabilities and service delivery.

âś… Funding to enhance and sustain our volunteer firefighter program, ensuring we can continue recruiting, training, and retaining dedicated volunteers.

âś… A regional grant to replace aging radios that are becoming increasingly unreliable and are failing at an alarming rate, helping ensure first responders can communicate safely and effectively when seconds matter most. This regional grant includes the partnership of 4 local partners - Ash Grove Fire Protection District, Battlefield Fire Protection District, Bois D'Arc Missouri Fire Protection District, and Willard Fire Protection District.

Securing grant funding allows us to pursue these important improvements while minimizing costs to our local taxpayers.

We remain committed to being good stewards of public funds and continuously seeking opportunities to improve service without placing unnecessary financial strain on our community.

Thank you for your continued support of the Brookline Fire Protection District. We look forward to sharing updates as these applications move through the review process.

We want to thank Ash Grove Fire Protection District for hosting such a vital course that provides a foundation for these amazing Firefighters to build their knowledge from. And thank you to the amazing Leadership/Instructor team that made this course such a success.

Congratulations to the 5 Brookline Volunteer Firefighters that took this course! These firefighters are dedicated to furthering their education to provide the best possible care to our Community Members. They will embark on the journey of achieving their EMT-B Licenses in September!

🚑🎉 Congratulations to the EMR Class of 2026! 🎉🚑

A special shout-out to the students from Bois D’Arc, Brookline, and Ash Grove who participated in and successfully completed the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course.

Your dedication, hard work, and commitment to learning lifesaving skills have led to this incredible accomplishment. Passing your EMR certification is no small feat, and you should be proud of the knowledge and confidence you’ve gained to help others in times of need.

Ash Grove is proud to celebrate this milestone with you. Thank you for your commitment to safety, service, and excellence. We look forward to seeing the positive impact you’ll make in your communities and beyond.

Congratulations on a job well done! 👏🚑

Training night with the volunteers! Tonight we worked on skills for the physical agility test that will be administered in September to meet the yearly requirement needed to be a volunteer on the department. One of many tests our volunteers must pass to remain active on the department.

Join us in honoring our nation’s fallen firefighters during the annual Light the Night event. ❤️

The Brookline Fire Protection District is proud to participate by illuminating our exterior buildings in red as a symbol of remembrance, respect, and gratitude for those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

We encourage our community to join us—whether by lighting your home in red April 26-May 3rd, sharing a message of support, or simply taking a moment to reflect on the courage and dedication of our fallen heroes.

Together, we remember. Together, we honor.

Today we had the honor of presenting a plaque of appreciation to Buddys Upull Self Service Auto Parts for their generous support to surrounding Fire Agencies. We were joined by Battlefield Fire Protection District and City of Republic MO, Fire Department to present the plaque. Not pictured is Bois D'Arc Missouri Fire Protection District and Willard Fire Protection District who wanted to share their appreciation as well.

We want to highlight their contributions to the region’s Fire Service by donating space and vehicles for training exercises. These efforts allow our agencies to conduct often training exercises to focus on tuning vehicle rescue techniques.

Thank you Buddy’s Auto Mall team for being so generous and supportive to this region!
