Thank you for understanding that we wish nothing more than to be able to celebrate every military mom and that our criteria is in place to help us manage the number of submissions we receive.

Please read the following criteria to see if you qualify:
- Be able to attend the shower you are signing up for in person
- Must be military mom pregnant or have newborn no older than 3 months old on shower day, to include families having babies via surrogacy or adoption.
- 1st priority: Have a spouse or partner who is deployed or deploying (or other official duty separation) at some point during their pregnancy
- 2nd priority: Active duty spouse of or service member (E-6 or below)
- You have not been showered by Operation Shower in the last 3 years
- See form for any additional criteria

Note that filling out the form is not a guarantee of attendance but every effort will be made to include those who sign up. You will be contacted by an Operation Shower team member via email.

☀️🏖️ It's time to pack your sunscreen and grab your beach towel! NYC's public beaches officially open for swimming on Saturday, May 23rd, kicking off Memorial Day weekend! 🏖️☀️

From the iconic Coney Island and Brighton Beach in Brooklyn to Rockaway Beach in Queens and Orchard Beach in the Bronx, 14 miles of sandy shoreline await you. Lifeguards will be on duty daily from 10 AM to 6 PM until the end of the season in early September. Swimming is prohibited when lifeguards are not on duty and in closed sections. Closed sections are marked with signs and/or red flags. All public beaches are free and open to all.

New York City beaches are closed for the season. During the off-season, you can sit, stroll, or jog on beaches, but you cannot swim or wade in the water.
