💜💛 WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT AT DSPMS! 💛💜
We had an incredible turnout last night for our Annual Title I Meeting & Open House, and we cannot thank our families enough for showing up, connecting with our teachers, and being such an important part of the DSPMS community!
A very special SHOUT-OUT to KB Auto Group for generously sponsoring dinner for our families! Your support and investment in our school community helped make the evening even more special. We are incredibly grateful for community partners who believe in our students and our school. 🐆
There is something powerful about what happens when families, schools, and community partners come together with one shared purpose—supporting our students and helping them succeed.
Last night was a great example of that partnership in action!
Thank you to our families, staff, students, and community partners for continuing to make D.S. Parrott Middle School such a special place.
💜💛 One school. One community. One Leopard Family.

🐆🪙 GET READY FOR THE LEOPARD PENNY WAR! 🪙🐆

From October 19th through November 2nd, our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will battle it out to see which grade can earn the most points and claim the title of Penny War Champion! 🏆
Pennies help your grade, while other coins and bills can be used to drop another grade’s score. Every contribution makes a difference!
Funds raised will help provide activities for our 6th-grade students at minimal cost, with a portion of the proceeds going toward teacher appreciation incentives.
Start saving that change, Leopards! 💜💛
6th vs. 7th vs. 8th — which grade will come out on top?

💜🏐 A special night for a very special coach! 🏐💛

After recognizing our amazingly talented eighth-grade volleyball players this evening, Coach Dena Libengood got a surprise of her own! Her athletes turned the celebration toward their coach, catching her off guard as they cheered for her and an incredible milestone—her 30th season coaching volleyball!

Tonight marked the last home game of her 30th season. What an accomplishment and what a meaningful moment to share with her team!

Coach Libengood, thank you for the countless hours, encouragement, and heart you have poured into generations of student-athletes. Your impact reaches far beyond the volleyball court, and tonight’s celebration showed just how much you mean to your players.

We love you, Coach Libengood! 💜💛🐾

💜💛 What a night for Leopard Nation!
Last night at Hernando High School, D. S. Parrott Middle School and West Hernando Middle School came together for an incredible evening of football, school spirit, and community. Both teams played with heart, showed determination, and gave their very best effort. Our Leopards earned a victory, and the celebration reaches far beyond the scoreboard!
With six student groups participating across both schools, the evening showcased the athletics, fine arts, and extracurricular opportunities that make the middle school experience so meaningful in the Hernando County School District. Students had opportunities to perform, lead, build friendships, and experience the pride of belonging to something bigger than themselves.
One especially memorable moment was watching more than 40 junior cheerleaders join our Parrott cheer team on the track! Cheering in front of a crowd alongside our middle school students gave these young Leopards an experience to remember—and a glimpse of the opportunities ahead.
As you look through these pictures, you’ll see our football players and coaches, our cheerleaders encouraging their team, and a wonderful display of sportsmanship as our cheer squad crossed to the other sideline for pictures with the Bears’ cheer team. That shared spirit deserves to be celebrated!
Our color guard was there as well, adding such flair and school spirit to the evening! We love seeing this program contribute to the excitement and give our students another opportunity to shine.
And setting the tone and keeping the beat throughout the evening was our incredible Leopard Band! Their music and energy helped bring the entire stadium to life. 🥁🎶
Thank you to the students, coaches, directors, sponsors, staff, and families from both schools, and to Hernando High School for hosting an unforgettable evening.
Creating opportunities. Celebrating talents. Building school pride and community.
In the Hernando County School District, We Do That! 💜💛🐾
