Burton Fire Department Fire Department We staff our station with 3 personnel 24/7/365 and have been operating our of our original firehouse since being incorporated in 1926.

The department is composed of 26 firefighters, 15 of which are Paramedics, 3 EMT-Advanced and 7 EMT-Basics. Our primary response area includes Burton Village, Burton Township and the southern half of Claridon Township, and we provide automatic mutual aid responses for structure fires to Middlefield FD, Parkman FD, Troy FD, Auburn FD, Newbury FD, Munson FD and Chardon FD. Our services include fire

suppression, motor vehicle crash response, EMS, wildland fire suppression, ice rescue, hazardous materials responses, fire prevention including inspections, plan reviews, smoke detector installations, fire extinguisher classes and education. Current apparatus fleet:

This Saturday, May 23rd, will be the second annual Michael C Kalal Heart of Gold Charity Plant Sale from 9 am to 3 pm, hosted at the Burton Fire Station.

The Micheal C Kalal Heart of Gold Charity is a non-profit organization that raises funds to help support public safety forces with much needed safety equipment and personal protective gear.

Our thoughts and and prayers go out to the Rose family and Bainbridge Professional Firefighters Local 5390 for their loss of Firefighter/Paramedic Darrell Rose. 

Bainbridge Firefighters are mourning the loss of Firefighter/Paramedic Darrell Rose. Darrell was a dedicated member since 2005, and charter full-time member since 2017. He loved his 2 children. Darrell will be missed. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Dear Community Members,

The Burton Fire Department is proud to celebrate 100 years of dedicated service to our community, and we invite you to be part of this historic milestone by participating in our Centennial Raffle.

For a century, our department has been committed to protecting lives, property, and the safety of our residents. This raffle is not only a celebration of our legacy, but also an opportunity to support the future of our department. Proceeds will help fund equipment, training, and community outreach initiatives that keep Burton safe.

Raffles will include 100 Guns, outdoor equipment, power tools, yeti coolers

Your continued support means everything to us. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating 100 years of service, dedication, and community pride.

Guns will be selected and drawn in random order. If your name is drawn for a specific firearm, no trades or exchanges will be allowed. The final firearm to be drawn will be the Barrett Model 99 chambered in .50 BMG.
