We want to thank Coach Austin May for his leadership and dedication to our students, athletes, and school community during his time as Head Baseball Coach and Head Golf Coach.
Over the last two years, Coach May helped lead programs that experienced success both competitively and personally. Under his leadership, student-athletes represented Camden Fairview with pride, competing at high levels while continuing to grow as teammates, leaders, and young men.
We wish Coach May the best as he begins this next chapter and know he will continue making a difference wherever his journey leads.
As we look ahead, Camden Fairview is excited to continue building on the foundation Coach May helped establish during his time here. Searches for our next baseball and golf coaches are already underway, and we look forward to continuing the growth, success, and opportunities available for our student-athletes.
⚾️ Message from Coach May:
Dear Camden Fairview:
After much thought and prayer, I have made the difficult decision to accept a new opportunity and will be stepping away from my roles as Head Baseball Coach and Head Golf Coach at Camden Fairview High School.
While my time here only spanned two years, the memories and relationships built during that time will last a lifetime. Camden Fairview welcomed me from day one, and I am incredibly grateful for the support shown to me and our student athletes.
I am proud of what our athletes were able to accomplish together. This past season, our boys’ golf team qualified for the state tournament and earned a second-place finish in conference. On the baseball field, our team continued to grow and compete at a high level, tying for first place in conference and earning a berth in the state tournament, where we battled until the end against the eventual state champions in a hard-fought 2-1 game.
While I am proud of those accomplishments, I am even more proud of the young men who represented Camden Fairview with character, toughness, and pride. Championships and wins are important, but the relationships built, lessons learned, and growth of our student athletes will always mean the most to me.
To the players, thank you for trusting me and allowing me to be part of your journey. To the parents, thank you for your support, encouragement, and belief in our programs. To my fellow coaches, teachers, administrators, staff members, thank you for your friendship and for the countless ways you supported our athletes and me throughout my time here.
I will always be thankful for the opportunity to have served this community. I hope I am leaving the programs in a better position than before and I wish nothing but success for all the programs here at Camden Fairview.
Thank you for two unforgettable and memorable years!
Coach Austin May
