Monday, the Cape Girardeau Fire Department was honored to donate a first responder medical bag with some basic supplies to Cape Bible Chapel, helping provide additional resources for the care and safety of their congregation.

This donation also represents the connection between our department and Cape Bible Chapel through Pastor Josh Stevens, who proudly serves as the Cape Girardeau Fire Department Chaplain.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve our community not only through emergency response, but also through partnerships that help make our community safer and stronger.

Patriot Day BBQ: Friday, 9/11 from 11am-2pm, Patriot Pavilion at Cape County Park - North (2300 US-61, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701)

9/11 Heroes Run: Saturday, 9/12, at 8am, Lynwood Baptist Church

North Cape County Fire Protection District 9/11 Memorial Walk: Sunday, 9/13 at 5:30pm, Meet at NCCFPD's Station 2 (245 Green Street, Oak Ridge, MO 63769)

Today, we welcome 4 new Firefighters to our organization: Andrew Dickerson, Benjamin Talley, Colton Poole, and Blake Crump. They have been officially pinned and taken the Oath of Office to be a Firefighter for the City of Cape Girardeau!

We are excited to have all of them join our team!

Shoutout to Fire Station 3’s crew, taking good care of their neighbors, Barbara Blanchard Elementary, by trimming the trees so the School Zone sign can be easily seen! Remember, slow down and follow the speed limit, otherwise you may get to meet our friends from the Cape Girardeau Police Department!

We don’t talk about it a lot, but we love partnering with the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport to provide flight standby services for the Contour Airlines flights that fly out to Chicago, Dallas, and Pensacola (seasonally). If you see us as you fly into the sky, give us a wave! :)
