On the late afternoon of Monday, August 10th, 2026, just as a rainstorm descended, a long needed repair was completed on Capon School Street. Praise God and a special thanks to Governor Patrick Morrisey, Delegate David Cannon, Senator Darren Thorne, Executive Director J. Todd Hott of the Hampshire County Development Authority and so many others for their role in bringing this project to fruition. 642 tons of asphalt was used in Belt’s Paving’ work.

What a beautiful sight to a much enhanced and safer entry and exit, especially for the Capon Bridge Elementary and Middle Schools.

(I regret not crediting all the individuals who deserve some gratitude. Please know if you were instrumental in making this happen, you should feel a special pride in your part in serving the Town of Capon Bridge and our community).
