Capon Springs Vol. Fire and Rescue To keep our local community up to date on upcoming events, calls, severe weather alerts, and the needs and functions of the Fire Dept. Capon Springs Vol.

Fire and Rescue has been dedicated to serving our local and surrounding community since it was founded in October of 1966. We have approximately 15 active members and operate two basic life support ambulances, one engine, one rescue engine, one 3,300 gallon tanker, two brush trucks, and an air/light support cascade trailer.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Capon Springs Volunteer Fire & Rescue Community Day!

Despite the morning rain showers, our community showed up in full force. We want to give a massive shoutout to all of our incredible vendors who braved the wet weather early on to set up and make the day such a success. Your dedication and flexibility made all the difference!

Don’t let a little rain keep you home—Company 8 is ready and the doors open at 11:00 AM! Come spend the afternoon with your neighbors and local firefighters.

🌭 Free Food: Burgers, hot dogs, chips & cold drinks (12 PM – 2 PM)
🚒 Fire Truck Tours & Rides: Climb aboard the apparatus (11:30 AM, 12:30 PM & 1:30 PM)
💦 Kids’ Activities: Target practice with a real fire hose & dunk tank
🐻 Special Guests: Meet Smokey Bear & the WV Forestry team (12:00 PM)
🚁 Live Demos: Search-and-rescue drone obstacle course & Stop the Bleed class
🩺 Free Health Checks: Blood pressure & glucose testing by CSVFR EMS
🛍️ Local Vendors & Raffles: Crafts, treats, local goods, and our Ambulance SxS raffle drawing!

Join us tomorrow Sunday August 16th for Capon Springs VFR 2nd annual Community Day! 🚒

Bring the whole family out for a day full of fun, food, and community support:

When: Tomorrow, August 16 | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Where: Capon Springs Fire Department (3144 Capon Springs Rd, Capon Springs, WV)

Food: FREE burgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM)

Highlights & Activities:

🚒 Fire truck rides & apparatus tours (11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM)

🎯 Dunk tank (Kids complete the scavenger hunt for 10 free throws!),

In just over two weeks, you completely sold out the 12th Annual Fall Bash! Thank you so much to everyone who grabbed their tickets—we are so blown away by the love. If you didn't get a ticket you can still join us at the door for $15 all you can eat food.

⚠️ Quick Reminder: Tickets are non-transferable. Please do not buy or sell tickets second-hand, as they will not be accepted at entry.

We can't wait to see everyone on September 12th!
