We’ll be handing out FREE popsicles to kids before the parade while supplies last. Stop in, cool off, and say hello to ”Red”, Old Number 2! Old 2 will be observing the parade in front of the station. 🔥💨 We have received multiple calls regarding the smell of smoke in the area. The smoke and poor air quality are the result of smoke traveling east from the wildfires in Quebec.

We encourage those with respiratory conditions and others who may be vulnerable to the smoke to remain indoors and keep windows closed.

The risk of severe storms in northern Maine has decreased significantly. There's still some limited risk in central Maine after 6 PM. This is a result of persistent clouds, rain, and wildfire smoke that has prevented the development of instability (thunderstorm fuel).

⚠️⛈️Here is the latest updated graphic from our friends at the National Weather Service in Caribou.

There remains a significant chance of severe weather today, including thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail. There is always an increased risk of power outages and downed trees during these types of weather events. It is better to be proactive than reactive—have your generators ready, flashlights stocked with fresh batteries, and cell phones charged.

We will continue to provide updates and share any urgent information should conditions worsen.

🌭 Join Us for S.W. Collins’ Grill & Give Back! 🚒

The Caribou Fire & Ambulance Department will be joining S.W. Collins Co. in Caribou on Thursday, July 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for their Grill & Give Back fundraiser.

Stop by for a hot dog, Taste of Maine chips, and a drink with a donation. S.W. Collins will match donations up to $2,000, with proceeds benefiting local fire departments and the Robbins Lumber Fire Relief Fund.

🚒 We’ll also have Ladder 3 on site! Stop by to meet members of our department, check out one of our trucks up close, and support a great cause that benefits firefighters throughout our region.
