The world lost a treasured soul today.

Dolly Parton has given the world incredible music, plenty of sparkle, and one very special gift—a love of reading.

Inspired by her father, who never had the opportunity to learn to read and write, Dolly created the Imagination Library to put books into the hands and homes of young children. Since 1995, that dream has grown to reach millions of children and families.

Dolly understood something we believe with all our hearts: a book is never just a book. It’s imagination, family time, confidence, curiosity, and sometimes the beginning of a really big dream.

Thank you, Dolly, for showing us just how much good can come from books, big dreams, and a little bit of sparkle. 💜📖✨

Join us for a fun and hands-on Porch Perk-Up Workshop where you’ll learn simple, creative ways to refresh your outdoor space and make it feel more welcoming. We’ll share tips for adding color, texture, seasonal touches, and curb appeal without breaking the bank.

The best part? You’ll get to create your own make-and-take project to take home and use on your porch. Come ready to get creative, meet fellow community members, and leave with a little inspiration and something beautiful you made yourself!

This class counts toward satisfying the Restoration Carthage Program Requirement. Seating is limited. You must RSVP to take part in the activity as we'll have bricks and painting supplies prepped ahead of time.
