Child Find Notice - Proportionate Share Meeting

The Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) requires that the Casa Grande Union High School District provide information to the public regarding the provision of equitable special education services to parentally placed private school students with disabilities. Home-schooled children with disabilities are considered in the same category and are also eligible for services under this provision.

Parentally placed students with disabilities in private schools or home-schooled students are not entitled to a free appropriate public education (FAPE), but the district will provide services based on a proportionate share of federal funds. To plan accordingly for the 2026-2027 school year, Casa Grande Union High School District would like to meet with parents/guardians of 9-12th grade students who suspect that their child has a disability which requires an evaluation. Please join us September 21, 2026 from 6:00-7:00pm at Casa Grande Union High School District Office board room, 1362 N Casa Grande Ave. Casa Grande. 📚 Meet the Teacher Spotlight 🍎

Meet Troy Jones, who teaches Freshmen Success, Life 101, and EDGE Academy at Casa Grande Union High School!

This year marks 20 years in education for Mr. Jones. Before joining CGUHS, he taught Physical Education in the Toltec School District before taking on a new challenge in Casa Grande.

Outside the classroom, Mr. Jones is the owner of Addicted to Fit, a fitness clothing company that supports addiction recovery through fitness. When he’s not teaching or working on his business, you’ll likely find him enjoying time at the beach, reading The Long Walk by Stephen King, or making memories with his family.
