Too often the honorable citizens of the City of Casa Grande only picture us in their darkest hours and scariest moments. First Day on Duty - B Shift. Time to Check the Bucket!
Before the calls begin, CGFD firefighters inspect their equipment to make sure everything is ready to go—including the bucket on our aerial fire truck.

The bucket is the raised platform firefighters use to safely work from above, helping them reach rooftops, upper floors, and elevated areas during fires, rescues, and other emergencies.

Being prepared before the emergency is top priority for us!

Fire Safety in Action!
A big thank you to Saguaro Elementary School for inviting the CGFD Public Education Officer to visit their students and teach them importance fire safety skills! Students learned how to crawl low under smoke, create an escape plan, make sure their home has working smoke alarms, and GET OUT and call 911 if there is a fire. They also learned more about the important job firefighters do to keep our community safe.

Yesterday, on 9/11, two CGFD firefighters climbed 110 flights—2,071 steps—in full turnout gear to honor the heroes who gave everything on September 11, 2001.
With every step, they remembered the 343 firefighters and all those who never came home.

The Casa Grande Fire Department would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Walmart for honoring our firefighters with a beautiful and meaningful 9/11 Memorial poster and a generous donation.

This thoughtful gesture means so much to our department as we remember the firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

We are grateful for Walmart’s continued support of our firefighters and our community. Thank you, Walmart, for helping us remember and honor those who gave everything.

The CGFD was excited to be invited to McCartney Ranch Elementary to read books to the students about firefighting and being an EMT as part of their 911 read aloud!

Our firefighters had a great time sharing stories, talking about what they do, and answering all the students’ great questions about life in the fire service.

We love opportunities like this to connect with our community and inspire the next generation!
