Summer Improvements at Dave White Golf Course! ⛳️
Thank you for your patience while this work took place. Every year the Dave White Golf Course has over 50,000 rounds of golf, which can lead to turf challenges and damage. Summer maintenance allows for these area to better recover from the constant use:
- Ovation management replanted 5 acres of Bermuda grass in areas where turf had thinned or was no longer growing.
- Heavy aeration and temporary cart restrictions to relieve soil compaction allow water to pe*****te the ground, and give the Bermuda grass a better opportunity to re-establish.
- Aerating and sanding the greens to improve turf health and drainage.
We’re now seeing progress throughout the course, with grass returning to previously thin areas and Bermuda continuing to thicken and establish. The course is in great shape and should continue to improve over the coming weeks.
