Emily & Bo šŸ¤

I’ve been photographing Bo since he was just four years old, and over the years, I’ve gotten to capture so much more than just his milestones. From sessions with Emily and her family to her brother’s wedding, these two have become such familiar faces in front of my camera.

We always have the best time, and they’re pretty much always willing to entertain whatever idea I come up with. šŸ˜‚

This session was proof that you don’t need an elaborate location to make beautiful photographs. Just a little stretch of Appalachia, the most vibrant fall colors, and two people who love each other. šŸ‚

Emily is such a wonderful mom, and getting to document the bond she and Bo share is something I’m always grateful for. Some of the sweetest stories are told in the simplest moments. šŸ¤

Asher šŸ¤

Almost a year ago, I was photographing Lakin and Paul’s wedding, and shortly after, I got to be the first person to photograph sweet Asher in his nursery. And now here we are, smashing cake, taking little steps, and somehow already approaching ONE. 🄹 Where does the time go?

Lakin was one of the best teachers my kids had in elementary school, so getting to document these milestones for her family means a little extra to me. From the beginning of their marriage to this sweet season of firsts, I’ve been lucky enough to capture so much of their story.

Happy almost first birthday, Asher! You’ve made this past year a pretty special one. šŸ¤

The Jacksons šŸ¤

Amy is one of those people I can go forever without seeing, but the second we’re together, we’re cackling like hens within about two minutes. šŸ˜‚ We’ve got some pretty funny memories over the years, and I’m sure we’ll keep adding to that collection.

We had the best time with Derek, Amy, Luke, and Calen on the mountaintop at my home. The boys did fantastic, and little Calen was so quiet and content the whole time. 🄹

I’m thankful for clients who turn into friends—the ones I can randomly text during the day about links, questions, and whatever other nonsense we get into. šŸ˜‚

Amy, I’m always glad when our paths cross, and I’m so thankful I get to capture these moments for your family. Plus, any excuse to get everyone together on our beautiful Appalachian mountaintops is a good one. šŸ¤

A little booking update for future sessions! šŸ¤āœØ

First, thank you to everyone who continues to support my little business and trusts me with your memories. It truly means more than you know!

Moving forward, all session inquiries and booking requests will need to be submitted through my website rather than Facebook messages. My website allows me to keep everything organized in one place, from your initial inquiry to scheduling, contracts, and invoices.

Recently, I’ve had quite a few inquiries that turn into scheduling conversations, date changes or cancellations that never get rescheduled, and invoices that ultimately never get paid or finalized. While I’m always happy to answer questions and help clients plan their sessions, the time spent coordinating dates and preparing bookings is time I also dedicate to my booked clients and the behind-the-scenes work that keeps this business running.

To help everything run more smoothly for everyone, your session will only be considered officially booked once the required booking steps are completed through my website.

I appreciate your understanding as I make this change to protect my time, keep things organized, and continue giving my clients the best experience possible. I can’t wait to keep capturing your beautiful memories! šŸ¤

The Jackson/Whited family šŸ¤

Some families hold a special place in your heart, and this one certainly holds a place in mine. Karen is one of the most genuinely good, humble people I’ve ever known. She has a heart that lives and breathes for her family, and I’ve always admired that about her.

Kayla, Brad, and Jaxson have spent so many seasons in front of my camera, and getting invited back year after year—especially into the places they can call home—is something I’ll never take for granted.

This job has given me so much more than photographs. It’s given me relationships, familiar faces, and families I get to watch grow through the years.

I’m endlessly thankful for the people who continue to trust me with their memories. It’s never just a session to me. It’s another little piece of their story that I’m lucky enough to be part of. šŸ¤

The Pruitts šŸ¤

Kaitlin, Stephen, Brynleigh, Kasen, and the littlest of them all, Sawyer. 🄹

Some families come into your life as clients and, somewhere along the way, become so much more. I’ve been photographing this beautifully blended family since the very beginning—from engagements and weddings to newborns and all the little chapters in between. At this point, we’re family, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

After four reschedules and just about every obstacle you can imagine, we finally made it happen Friday. We even bumped our session up to beat the rain, and somehow, the skies gave us just enough time. šŸ¤

I’m so thankful for families who continue to trust me with their memories, for the years of love and laughter we’ve shared, and for the Appalachian mountains we get to call home.

Some photographs capture a season of life. Others remind you just how lucky you are to be part of the story. The Pruitts will always be the latter. ✨

The Flanners šŸ¤

When Sheena mentioned her and Brandon’s family farm on the mountaintop, I had a feeling it would be special. But when I arrived, I was genuinely speechless. Some of the most breathtaking views of our Appalachian home I’ve ever seen, wrapped in the most beautifully vibrant fall colors.

I found myself leaning into natural, true-to-life edits because nothing needed to be added or taken away from a landscape like that. If anything, this session may have inspired an entirely new creative direction for me. šŸ‚

And for Bowen, Holden, and Weston? The perfect place to run wild, play, explore, and sneak in all the snuggles with their favorite people.

There’s something about watching a family make memories in a place that means so much to them, with the Appalachian mountains stretching endlessly behind them, that makes photographs feel like so much more than photographs.

The kind of beauty you don’t have to create. Just show up, slow down, and let it be. šŸ¤

The Owens šŸ¤

A little family session mixed with a cake smash, and somehow, it all went swimmingly. 🄹

I’ve had the joy of photographing this family through so many milestones, and now sweet Hadley is turning ONE. How is that even possible?!

Kayla and Josh are the kind of parents who make me feel completely at ease, and watching Bryn grow into her role as big sister has been so special. When she told me, ā€œI really love pictures,ā€ I think my heart melted right there on the spot. šŸ„¹šŸ¤

These are the sessions that remind me why I love what I do so much. Getting to watch families grow, document the little in-between moments, and become a small part of their stories is a privilege I’ll never take for granted.

Happy almost first birthday, Hadley! What a joy it is to watch your story unfold. ✨

Homecoming 2026 šŸ¤

I’m so lucky, and it always stands firm. 🄹

This year, I got to photograph so many beautiful couples, including my own oldest two and their amazing dates. And somewhere between all the photos, it hit me just how quickly the years have passed.

I’ve watched so many of these kids grow up, and now I’m getting to document their very first high school dances. Meanwhile, my nephew Chanler is celebrating his last Homecoming as a senior. How did we get here already?

Getting to be both the photographer behind the camera and someone who loves these kids beyond it is a privilege I’ll never take for granted. These are the moments that make this job so much more than photographs. šŸ¤
