Our second grade students wowed us with their immagination, problem-solving, and innovation!⚙️ After learning about the scientific method and studying inspiring innovators from around the world, students identified problems they wanted to solve. From keeping our school cleaner to helping protect our oceans and environment, they designed inventions, built prototypes, and tested their ideas.🔍

During their Innovation Celebrations, students proudly shared their creations and explained the thinking behind their designs.💡 We are so proud of the hard work, perseverance, and creativity our young innovators demonstrated throughout this project. The future is bright with these problem-solvers leading the way!😊

We’re incredibly excited to share that The Learning Community has been selected as the only current school in Rhode Island to participate in the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation Adopt a School Campaign!🎶

For our students, music is so much more than a class. It’s a place to feel seen, safe, creative, and connected. Thanks to the amazing work of our music teacher, Lisa Paré, our music room has become a true community space where every child belongs.😊

Right now, many of our instruments are old, damaged, or unusable. This campaign will help us provide new instruments so our students can continue learning, creating, and shining through music.🎸🪘🪇🪈

HUGE shout out to Jayden for receiving an Honorable Mention from the Narragansett Bay Commission in their 2026 Poster Contest, Water’s Journey Through Time!🌊🎨

Students were invited to enter the contest through our 5th grade Watershed program here at The LC, and Jayden’s hard work truly paid off. He’s been invited to their gallery celebration, and his poster will even be featured in the Narragansett Bay Commission’s 2027 calendar!!

We are so beyond proud of him. He has worked so hard all year long and has submitted artwork to every contest opportunity that has come his way. This recognition is so well deserved. Congratulations, Jayden!👏💙

Join us for a Family Wellness Workshop (Bilingual) in collaboration with Progreso Latino on Monday, June 15 at 5:30 PM at The Learning Community!👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💛

Parents and caregivers are invited to an evening of connection, support, and practical resources focused on affirmation, empowerment, communication, parenting challenges, and more. Families will also receive FREE incentives for attending.

It was a lovely evening at our Bloom Arts & Music Festival!🌸🖌️🎶✨

From amazing student artwork filling our spaces to the sweet sounds of our chorus singing out on the playground, yesterday was such a special celebration of creativity at The LC. 🎨🎤

We are so proud of all the hard work our students put into sharing their talents with our community! A huge thank you to Miss Dana and Mrs. Paré for all the care and energy they poured into making the event such a success.💛

Earlier this month, our Exploratorium Theater Club players had the opportunity to attend “Primary Trust” at !🎭

Experiences like this give our students the chance to engage with live performance, explore storytelling in new ways, and connect with the creative community beyond our campus. From the acting to the stage design, students left inspired and full of ideas for their own work together as a theater ensemble.

We are so proud of the curiosity and collaboration our students continue to bring to the arts at The LC! Stay tuned for an announcement about the Theater Club’s upcoming performance at our Outdoor Classroom this June!✨
