✨ Meet Mrs. Jones! ✨

Originally from Eastern North Carolina, Mrs. Jones has proudly called the Charlotte area home for nearly 30 years. She graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Elementary Education and has taught Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and most recently 4th grade.

This year, she is excited to begin a new adventure as part of the 5th grade team! Even more special, she’s thrilled to be returning to PSE—the same school her own children attended.

When she’s not in the classroom, Mrs. Jones is an empty nester cheering on her three college-aged children. She also enjoys spending time with her main squeeze, Kyle, camping, attending concerts, and making memories with their three dogs.

Mrs. Jones can’t wait to make this an amazing year with her students and the PSE community!

Welcome to PSE, Mrs. Brantley!

Mrs. Brantley grew up in New York City and moved to North Carolina for college. She attended UNC-Charlotte and then began her career at Steele Creek Elementary in CMS. She helped open Elon Park Elementary in 2007 and then transferred to her home school in UCPS. She is excited to be back in CMS and can't wait to meet the PSE community!

In her spare time, she enjoys baking and watching new TV shows. She lives in Waxhaw with her husband Steven, two middle school aged children, Lilly and Adam and three dogs, Swing, Patch and Stitch.

Mrs. McMurray is back, and she has never been more excited to “come home!” As they say, “Once A Rocket, Always A Rocket!” Mrs. McMurray was part of the PSE family from January 2006 to October 2019 when she left for the opportunity to become the AIG lead teacher at Ballantyne Elementary and has been there since leaving.

Mrs. McMurray loves spending time with her family, especially her 4 grandchildren: Lochlyn(6), Finley(5), Paxton(4), and Phylos(2). She also enjoys the beach, Alabama football, shopping, and sushi.

Mrs. McMurray has been in the teaching profession for 31 years. She is most thrilled to return to work with the parents, students, and staff at PSE. Afterall, PSE is the place to be!

We look forward to having Girls on the Run at PSE again this fall! This club is open to girls in grades 3-5. Our fall season will take place after school at PSE Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00-4:15pm from September 29th-December 10th.

GOTR is opening registration on a rolling basis, so if you don't see PSE listed as a school site when you go to register, check back soon. Also, please note that this season Girls on the Run will use a lottery-based registration system rather than first-come, first-served registration. Families will have a registration window from August 3rd-August 28th to submit their girl’s registration request.
