We wrapped up Summer Leadership Academy with time spent on preparation, collaboration, and keeping our focus on what matters most. 💙

School Improvement Teams spent dedicated time planning for the year ahead, aligning goals and strategies to support student success across Cabarrus County Schools.

We ended the week with the 2026-2027 Safety Huddle, where teams heard valuable insights from Amy Lowder, Renee Mull, and guest speaker Colton Easton before participating in afternoon breakout sessions focused on strengthening safety practices throughout our schools.

As we begin a new year centered on Your Future. Our Focus., we’re grateful for the leaders who are helping shape a successful and safe school year for every student and staff member.👏

✨ The 2026 Summer Leadership Academy is underway! ✨

Cabarrus County Schools leaders came together today to kick off a week of learning, collaboration, and preparation for the year ahead. As we embrace this year’s theme, “Your Future. Our Focus.”, participants heard an inspiring keynote from Concord High School teacher Emily Francis, whose message challenged and encouraged us as we continue our work in support of student success. 🌟

A special thank you to our Facilities and Maintenance Department for providing lunch and helping make today’s event a success. 👏

We’re excited to continue a great week of professional learning and look forward to all that’s ahead as we prepare for another incredible school year! 💙

☀️🍎 FREE summer meals are back!
Cabarrus County Schools is proud to offer FREE healthy meals to all children and teens 18 years old and younger through our Summer School Nutrition Program mobile meal routes.
📅 June 1 – July 31, 2026
🗓️ Monday – Thursday
✅ Child must be present to receive meals

Our mobile meal buses will make stops throughout Cabarrus County each weekday to help ensure children have access to nutritious meals all summer long.

🎥 Behind the Scenes: Day two of Cabarrus County Schools’ first Advanced Teaching Roles (ATR) Summer Institute is underway!

This three day summit brings principals, assistant principals, multi-classroom leaders, extended reach teachers, and teacher assistants together to learn, collaborate, and strengthen their practice.

What makes this work special is its focus on educators who already have a proven track record of helping students grow. By investing in these teacher leaders and expanding their impact, we're creating even more opportunities for students across our district to succeed.

Great schools start with great educators. This week is all about helping them become even stronger. 🍎📚

Concord High School Public Service Academy (PSA) students Kurtis Davis and Logan Schelling were recognized by the board of education for their outstanding response during a medical emergency on March 6.

While participating in a campus cleanup activity, the students used skills learned in their EMT class to assist a fellow student in distress by securing the scene, monitoring the student, gathering vital information, and communicating effectively with EMS personnel upon arrival. Their professionalism, composure, and compassion reflected the mission of the PSA Academy and brought pride to Concord High School and the district.

Congratulations to Harris Road Middle School student Phaneendra Bulusu for an incredible Top 10 finish at the 2026 Scripps National Spelling Bee! 🐝🎉

Phaneendra advanced through nine challenging rounds, correctly spelling and defining some of the competition’s toughest words before earning 10th place in the nation. His final round appearance before the semifinals is an extraordinary accomplishment and a testament to his hard work and dedication.

Cabarrus County Schools is incredibly proud of Phaneendra for representing our district on the national stage! 👏🌟
