The goal of Southeast Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability is to advocate for and to strive to achieve a system of services that allows older persons and persons with disabilities the opportunity for an independent and productive lifespan. This is accomplished through three primary areas of emphasis: Advocacy, Service, and Planning. Serving Bledsoe, Bradley, Grundy, Hamilton, Marion McMinn, Meigs, Polk, Rhea, and Sequatchie Counties.

Our SETAAAD team had a great time at the first-ever Tennessee State Conference on Aging! We enjoyed learning, sharing ideas and connecting with others from across the state who are working to make a difference for older adults.

We appreciated hearing from Governor Lee and being part of this exciting first for Tennessee. We were also so excited to celebrate Dr. Kristi Wick receiving the Trusted Partner in Aging Award.

Now it’s time to bring what we learned back home and put it into action for the older adults and communities we serve!
