Please note that the Burns Library is closed today in observance of Burns Day. Join us for TED Democracy Live: Founding Futures, a daylong symposium featuring live-streamed TED Talks exploring the future of democracy as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebration. Tales Together heads outdoors to Performance Park for stories, a chalk obstacle course, a StoryWalk, and bike and pedestrian safety activities with Safe Routes to School. History enthusiasts can also discover strategies for researching family connections to the Revolutionary War in Finding Your Revolutionary War Ancestors, featuring guidance on records, archives, and genealogy resources.

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo ZooMobile returns to Cheyenne with two sessions featuring animal ambassadors and up-close encounters with fascinating creatures, while Library for All: ZooMobile offers a special session designed for teens and adults (16+) with disabilities. Ology Club @ Pine explores paleontology and ecology through hands-on science fun inspired by our Unearth a Story Summer Reading Challenge, including a recyclosaurus craft. Friday Matinee at Burns features Zookeeper with fresh popcorn and lemonade, and Teen After-Hours wraps up the day with a sing-along screening of Hamilton, complete with dinner and plenty of opportunities to belt out your favorite songs.

Book Babies is a gentle Early Literacy class designed for bonding, movement, and introducing little ones to the joy of reading. Tales Together @ Pine explores a Night Time theme through interactive stories, songs, puppets, and crafts, while Tales Together in Cheyenne brings families together for books, rhymes, puppet stories, and movement fun. Ology Club: Zoology invites grades K–6 to dig into the science of animals with hands-on activities and crafts as part of our Unearth a Story Summer Reading Challenge, and Teen Writing Club gives grades 7–12 a welcoming space to explore creativity through prompts, challenges, and supportive sharing.

What happens when history gets a soundtrack? 🤠 On Saturday, June 20, at 10:15 AM in the Cottonwood Room, “Buffalo Bill” Boycott and Dr. Jo take the stage for The Legacy of Wyoming: Celebrating Wyoming’s Role in America’s 250 Years—a musical ride through cowboy country, the Oregon Trail, the Transcontinental Railroad, Lewis and Clark, and more.
It’s all part of Living History @ the Library, where the whole building is filled with stories, characters, and hands-on history you can stumble into all day long.
