At just six years old, Ruby Bridges walked into William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans—and changed history forever.
In 1960, Ruby became the first Black child to integrate an all-white elementary school in the South. She faced angry mobs, threats, and hatred from people who couldn’t accept that she deserved an education.

But Ruby walked in with her head held high, her courage unshakeable, and her spirit unbroken. 💪🏾

Over 60 years later, Ms. Bridges continues to be a beacon of hope, resilience, and justice.

🎥 Watch Ruby reflect on her journey, her legacy, and what it means to live a life rooted in love and justice 👉🏾 https://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/video/great-americans-a-conversation-with-ruby-bridges-264204869822
