Effort to consolidate Bannock County dispatch centers meets resistance - Local News 8

We are very proud of all the hard work and long hours our Communication Officers put in 24/7 to keep our community safe.
We also appreciate the positive working relationship that we have with all of the communication centers in Bannock County and beyond.

An effort to consolidate Bannock County's dispatch centers is meeting resistance.

Just to put a bug in the city's ear: I think (and I know I'm not the only one) that recycling should be picked up weekly and the garbage picked up every other week.......

Hey guys.. Just a quick question.. what happened to the cool hanging decor you guys used to put on Hiline and on Yellowstone. The ones there now are horrible. They look really bad. You can not even tell what the designs are at night and the lights on them are not even straight. They look like kids did them or something.. Can we please either get rid of them all together or go back to the old ones.. they may have been old but they looked way better than the horrible ones on the streets do now..
A taste of Chubbuck, ID in different flavors! https://www.carinistefano.com/chubbuck-idaho
I great BIG thank you to Officer Stephenson who saw me shoveling my driveway & stopped by and helped. I was deeply moved my his show of kindness!
Dear Mayor England and City Council: I wonder if getting a Giving Machine in our community is something you have considered. My intent is not to promote any ideology. Rather I have two objectives in bringing this up: 1. Engage the already wonderful and kind-hearted citizens of Chubbuck in participating in a growing movement. Developing kindness (which is already here), along with increasing awareness of worldwide needs which we don't necessarily suffer here will serve this community forever, and spread. Parents can physically approach a Giving Machine with their children and provide even just a small perspective-developing experience, especially if those children use their own money to provide for a person in need. 2. Provide for those in need. The needs are there, and will always be. But I believe that the people of Chubbuck would be happy to participate in helping meet those needs, whether our part be great or small. (a third selfish reason is: it would save me a drive to SLC; but we're going anyway, so it'd be fine ;) )
Can you put this on a sign at Knutson and Yellowstone please?
Here is a riddle hopefully someone can answer. What do you do when Chubbuck will not pick up your garbage because your neighbor runs over you red cone so that he can park right next to your gargabe can. I went out to pick up my garbage can and Chubbuck did not take my garbage and found my neighbors truck. I called then and no response. Chubbuck has terrible customer service!
Question: What are the regulations on BB gun usage in city limits? Wondering if I can use in my back yard. Thank you!

Hi I just moved back to the area after many years away, my question is I recall going to a small park out by the airport when I was in high school, with peacocks everywhere and they would come eat out of your hand. dose anyone remember where this was and if it is still there? I have a daughter of my own now and she would love it.
I would like to thank Mayor England for stopping by today and addressing my concerns. It was very kind of him to take the time to do so and make sure the problems would be taken care of on a timely basis. Thank you Mayor England.
