Barthelmas Park Expansion Moves Forward Following State Funding Approval Circleville Aquatic Center Project.

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Circleville residents are one step closer to once again having a community pool.

State and City officials announced Thursday that the Circleville Aquatic Center portion of the project will move forward, following the approval of state capital appropriations funding that includes $2 million for the aquatic center through Senate Bill 450. The announcement was made at Barthelmas Park and included state and local leaders, State Representative Brian Stewart (R-Ashville), Mayor Michelle Blanton, members of Circleville City Council, and city staff.

“For generations, the public pool was an important part of Circleville's community life and culture... We are incredibly grateful for this investment from the State of Ohio, which allows us to move forward with bringing a community pool back to Circleville much sooner than we originally thought possible." - Mayor Michelle Blanton

Due to the continued threat of severe weather this afternoon and evening, we've made the decision to move tonight's Movie in the Park to the Main Library, 1160 North Court Street, Circleville. The doors will open at 7PM.

We still have a great evening planned for you with the Circleville Bands Jazz Band, film historian Annette Bochenek, and a screening of Hold That Ghost featuring Ted Lewis. Popcorn, water, and movie theater candy will be provided while supplies last. Thank you to our partners for this event, City of Circleville, The Ted Lewis Museum, and the Pickaway County Women's Republican Club!

Hope to see you there!
