The playground at Mary Virginia Crites Hannan Park remains closed while the City secures quotes for needed repairs. For everyone's safety, please do not use the damaged equipment until repairs have been completed.

We were honored to have Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson join some of our officers for training at RoundTown Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy . Opportunities like this reinforce the importance of continuous training and professional development in law enforcement.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu helps officers build confidence, improve control techniques, enhance decision-making under stress, and develop safer methods of resolving physical encounters while reducing the risk of injury to both officers and the public. That is why we proudly offer and encourage this training for our officers.

Thank you to Attorney General Wilson for taking the time to train and engage with our team, and a special thank you to the staff at Roundtown Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for organizing and hosting this outstanding event. We appreciate your commitment to supporting law enforcement and our community.

A Heat Advisory is in effect in the area from June 30th at noon until July 2nd at 8 PM. Below are several tips to beat the heat this week:

- Drink plenty of water
- Stay in air conditioned spaces
- Limit outdoor activity
- Wear sunscreen & light clothing

Anyone in need of cool indoor space, please visit the local cooling center: Vineyard Church 911 S. Pickaway Street. Expected cooling center hours are 2-6 pm this Tuesday - Friday.

If you are fortunate enough to volunteer or donate, please visit or call at 740-248-5117. They are accepting hygiene supplies, popsicles, bottled water, and fans.
