Great News! There’s Light at the End of the Tunnel for Downtown Clarksburg!

The West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) contractor will begin milling and paving operations in the downtown corridor on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Work will start on Main Street, with crews milling the existing pavement near Wendy’s and moving east toward downtown. Paving operations are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, following the milling crew.

To accommodate this work, no parking will be permitted on Main Street between Chestnut Street and Marshall Street (near Hardee’s) next week.

We understand this may cause some inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Public parking remains available at Jackson Square and the downtown parking garage.

The finish line is in sight, and our downtown transformation is nearing completion. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we work to deliver a safer and improved downtown for everyone.
