Good news — Ohio kindergarten readiness rates reached 44.8% in 2025, the highest level since before the pandemic! cleveland.com's Laura Hancock reports that "gains to phonics-based reading curriculum and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library were factors.”

We are so pleased and proud to play a role in helping children and their families prepare for school through 's Preschool Club and Kindergarten Club! These family engagement initiatives use research-based practices to help families of 3 and 4-year-olds who do not have access to classroom-based programs or services.

Support from foundations and individual donors is what makes these critical public programs possible. Interested in supporting that work? Let's keep that momentum going! Donate today at https://www.cuyahogalibrary.org/gift
