The Laurens County Cancer Association would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the women of Eastside Baptist Church for inviting our volunteer, Betty Rysavy, and Director, Anna Miller, to be the guest speaker at their Women’s Dinner.

Anna was honored to share the mission of the LCCA and speak about the work being done to support Laurens County residents battling cancer to the 80 women in attendance. We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation of supplies and monetary support that was collected during the event.

Your kindness, compassion, and willingness to serve our community means so much to us and to the patients we assist every day. Thank you for your continued prayers, support, and dedication to helping others. We are truly appreciative of your service and partnership in our mission.

We are so grateful to the amazing youth group at Leesville Southern Methodist Church for choosing to serve our clients during their intergenerational retreat!

Each youth member led a service alongside church members, and together they packed dental care bags filled with toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, mouthwash, and chapstick for our Laurens County Cancer Association clients. What a beautiful example of faith in action across generations!

Oral health is especially important for individuals undergoing cancer treatment. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause dry mouth, mouth sores, increased sensitivity, and a higher risk of infection. Having the right dental supplies on hand helps patients stay comfortable, reduce complications, and maintain overall health during a very challenging time.

Thank you, Leesville Southern Methodist Youth, for thinking of the small things that make a BIG difference. Your kindness and leadership truly mean so much to the families we serve.

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteer Jackie Sullivan for leading us in fun Valentine’s games that brought so many smiles and laughs to the room. You made the night extra special!

And we are so grateful to the Knights of Columbus from Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Laurens for providing a delicious chili dinner for everyone. Nothing brings people together like good food and great fellowship!

We love seeing our LCCA family gathered, laughing, and supporting one another. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening so special.
