Hey Fort Wainwright family! Vigilance is a year-round mission, but August is our official Antiterrorism Awareness Month

Whether you are a Soldier, family member, Army Civilian, or contractor, you are the eyes and ears of our community. Security professionals put the puzzle pieces together, but they rely on us to provide those pieces.

Help keep our Garrison safe by knowing what to watch for and how to report it!

Suspicious behaviors are often the first indicators of a threat. Keep an eye out for:

Unusual Surveillance: Strangers taking photos, measuring, or asking detailed questions about security procedures or entry points.
Unattended Items: Left-behind backpacks, suitcases, or suspicious packages in public spaces.
Unauthorized Access: Individuals trying to enter secure zones without proper credentials.
Suspicious Vehicles: Cars parked in restricted areas or "no parking" zones near official buildings
Individuals tampering with government equipment.

**WHAT IS THE PRESIDENTIAL FITNESS TEST?**

It's a challenge. It's a benchmark. And it's back.

Fort Wainwright is proud to be one of the select pilot locations helping bring the Presidential Fitness Test to the next generation. Our Child and Youth Services participants put their determination, discipline and grit to the test through events that measure strength, endurance and physical fitness.

The goal isn't just earning a score. It's building confidence, resilience and healthy habits that last a lifetime.

These young competitors showed up, gave their best effort and proved that excellence starts with a willingness to take on a challenge.

The future is strong, and it's training right here at Fort Wainwright.
