🎓 To prepare future officers for an increasingly complex and contested operating environment, is evolving its academic structure to better align education with the future needs of the United States Air Force and United States Space Force.

Beginning Aug. 5, the Dean of Faculty organization also will be known as the 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴.

📚 As part of the realignment, the Academy will establish four interdisciplinary academic schools:

C2C Jiaqi “Annie” Deng is strengthening her language skills while gaining the cultural awareness needed to lead in a global environment through 's Cadet Summer Language Immersion Program (CSLIP) in Singapore.

By immersing herself in Chinese language and Singaporean culture, Annie is building the communication, adaptability and cross-cultural understanding that will prepare her to serve as a future United States Air Force officer.

One of Annie's favorite parts of the program was exploring Singapore on foot, discovering local shops, riding the city's public transportation system and experiencing authentic cuisine at hawker centers.

As a Biology major with a Chinese minor who hopes to become an Aerospace Physiologist, Annie says the experience strengthened her ability to communicate across cultures and build meaningful relationships, skills that will help her lead effectively in an increasingly interconnected world.

🪖 Throughout Basic Cadet Training at Jacks Valley, basic cadets tackled obstacle and assault courses, tactical field training, land navigation and expeditionary skills.

Each event built the confidence, discipline and resilience required to succeed as future United States Air Force and United States Space Force officers.

💪 At Jacks Valley, the mantra “𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱” reflects more than physical endurance. It represents the mental toughness and determination forged through every challenge.

🥾 After completing their training at Jacks Valley, returned to the Academy during the 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸.

The return to the Hill marks the completion of Jacks Valley and reflects the progress Basics have made through weeks of physical training, teamwork and leadership development.

👣 The March Back is a key milestone in their BCT journey as they continue building the foundation needed to become future Airmen and Guardians.

The Jacks Valley Culminating Exercise challenged Basics to apply the skills they developed throughout Basic Cadet Training while working together in a dynamic training environment.

They put their training into action through:

🪖 Foundational Expeditionary Skills Training (FEST) challenges basic cadets to operate in a deployed environment while learning the skills every Airman and Guardian needs.

From land navigation and tactical movement to entry control point operations and identifying unexploded ordnance, cadets build the confidence, discipline and readiness to help accomplish the mission.

C2C Gavin Ehrich, FEST course commander, shares what instructors look for during training:

🤠 took a break from Basic Cadet Training to experience a Colorado Springs tradition at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo.

The rodeo gave Basics an opportunity to step away from the training environment, spend time together and enjoy an afternoon of Western entertainment.

welcomed the newest class of cadet candidates during 𝗜𝗻-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘆, beginning their 10-month journey of academic, military and physical preparation.

Throughout the day, cadet candidates received their first look at life at US Air Force Academy Preparatory School (Official), connected with their classmates and began adapting to the expectations of military training.
