As recreational interest on Pikes Peak increases, we're committed to collaborative solutions that ensure continued protection of our water infrastructure and the watershed.

Yesterday, our CEO Travas Deal joined Governor Jared Polis and Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) Director Laura Clellan to sign a lease agreement allowing CPW to manage enhanced recreation – including camping – at Rosemont Reservoir. We're appreciative of the additional oversight this will provide at one of our more remote reservoirs in the Pikes Peak region.

Senate Bill 26-182 has been signed by Governor Jared Polis! This legislation allows us to file a new Clean Energy Plan by the end of 2026 with the state. It also creates a pathway for us to continue operations of the coal-fired unit at our Ray Nixon Power Plant until Dec. 31, 2032.

Thanks to the leadership of our CEO Travas Deal and local and state leaders, this legislation will help protect electric reliability and rate stability for our customers.

Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer! Whether you're flipping burgers or relaxing by a gas fire pit, remember: safety first when using natural gas appliances.

Know the 3 S’s of a gas leak:
- Smell: A strong odor like rotten eggs or skunk.
- Sight: Dead vegetation, bubbling water, or blowing dirt near gas lines.
- Sound: Hissing near appliances or gas lines.

Smell gas? Exit fast! πŸƒIf you suspect a leak, leave immediately and call 911 or (719) 448-4800. Do not use phones, light switches or anything that could cause a spark.
