🔍 Museum Mystery Monday Reveal! 🔎
Last week’s mystery item was an ice shaver!

Patented in 1893 by Philadelphia’s Enterprise Manufacturing Company, this cast-iron ice shaver was used to make shaved ice, or “snowball” desserts. To use it, the ice shaver was gripped by its handle and dragged across a block of ice, where razor-like teeth scraped off ice shavings and collected them in the attached cup. These ice shavings could then be scooped into a bowl and drizzled with fruit juice or syrup. Yum!

Congratulations to Jennifer Myers, this week’s winner! Send us a DM to claim your prize.

Did we stump you? A new mystery drops next Monday — stay tuned!

Today is the 82nd anniversary of the pivotal invasion at Normandy, widely known as D-Day.
As American, Canadian, French and British troops landed in a combined seaborne and aerial attack on the beach in northern France, they launched an all-out effort on the occupied territories of western Europe in an operation that would ultimately lead to an Allied victory.
