Kicking off Boys & Girls Club Week with an inspiring visit from Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Brian Asamoah! 🏈✨

Today, Brian spent time with youth at our Champion Companies Milo-Grogan Clubhouse, sharing stories about growing up in Columbus, pursuing his dreams through football, and the importance of planning for life beyond the game. Most importantly, he spoke about giving back to the community that helped shape him.

As we celebrate "What Clubs Mean to Me" and today's "Future Ready Day" theme, Brian reminded our members that success isn't just about what you accomplish ... it's about how you use those accomplishments to make a difference for others.

Thank you, Brian, for investing in our youth and showing them that great futures truly start now. 💙

Today was filled with joy, celebration and community. 🏳️‍🌈

BGCCO was honored to both march in the 44th Annual Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival and March and host a table at Juneteenth On The Ave today. We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate with our neighbors and reaffirm our commitment to creating spaces where every young person feels welcomed, supported and empowered to be themselves.

Thank you to Besa for hosting a party at our Champion Companies Milo-Grogan Clubhouse! Club kids and staff had a blast, and even Franklin County Director of Economic Engagement & Community Development Andrena Austin joined in the fun.

We're grateful to commemorate Juneteenth in the community and appreciate Besa for making this special day possible.

Wild memories were made today! 🦁🐧🐠

Club kids from across our sites headed to the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, but not before Lead Success Coach Tyann Craig had a few important questions. 😄

By the end, she realized she was left behind with the adults and wasn’t quite sure what to do next. 😂

Needless to say, the kids had an unforgettable day of adventure, discovery, and fun!

Summer in Marion is about more than keeping kids busy. It's about helping them grow.

At our Oak Street and River Valley Clubhouses, members are experiencing a different kind of summer with:

📚 Summer Brain Gain activities every morning to keep young minds engaged
🔬 STEM experiences and hands-on learning
🎨 Visits from community partners like the Marion Public Library and Mid-Ohio Fine Art Society
🚌 Exciting field trips
💼 Career and workforce readiness experiences with local professionals and businesses
❤️ Caring staff and new leadership committed to creating great futures

And for the remainder of the summer, enrollment at our Oak Street Clubhouse has been reduced to just $100.

The Club is more than recreation. It's a place where young people discover new interests, build confidence, and prepare for what's next.

South Side wrapped up the school year with a birthday celebration for every member who celebrated a birthday this year, complete with games, music, cake, ice cream, and Donatos. 🎉🍕
 
Now, summer is officially underway! ☀️
 
From the Reeb Center Summer Kickoff and Triple Play games to team-building activities, creative challenges, and learning new camp routines, members are building friendships, practicing responsibility, and making the most of every day at the Club.

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer brings. 💙
