As we celebrate our amazing staff throughout the month of May for Employee Appreciation Month, we are so excited to spotlight the hardworking individuals and teams who keep Colusa County moving forward!
Today we are celebrating Larissa Ramirez, Human Resources Technician!
Larissa exemplifies teamwork, reliability, and a strong commitment to serving both County employees and the community. Raised in Colusa, she brings a deep appreciation for community service into her role each day. After earning a degree in Political Science from California State University, Sacramento, she joined the County and advanced from Vocational Assistant in Health & Human Services to Human Resources Technician within just three years.
As one of the first faces employees and applicants encounter in Human Resources, Larissa plays a key role in creating a welcoming and organized experience. She supports recruitment efforts, onboarding, leave administration, and daily HR operations while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.
Outside of work, Larissa enjoys traveling and has visited 13 countries, with plans to reach 16 after June. She values travel for the opportunity to experience different cultures, try new foods, appreciate diverse architecture, and learn about history. Looking ahead, she hopes to visit Africa to experience the Serengeti, rainforests, waterfalls, and ocean landscapes.
She is also committed to continuing her professional growth within Human Resources, with a goal of expanding her knowledge of HR practices while further supporting the County and colleagues.
Her commitment to assisting both her team and County employees make her a valued member of the Human Resources Department.
