We want to give a special thank you to the five incredibly generous donors who made special donations to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Commerce Township in the last 12 hours. Your donations go directly to kids who live in Commerce Township and Wolverine Lake, assuring our local program for the future.

Dolly may have dreamed the Imagination Library, but all of you help her build it with every child registered and every donation given. Dolly didn't build the Imagination Library to last for her lifetime. She built it to last for theirs. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We are truly saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton. As an advocate for early literacy, Dolly has had an enormous impact on children around the world, and here in Commerce Township. Her Imagination Library has gifted over 300 million books to children worldwide, and 44,786 books here in Commerce Township since our inception of the program in 2022.

We wish Dolly peace, and many, many thanks.

Congratulations to our 2026 Summer Charity Winner: Byers Homestead! 🥳

Patrons participating in our Summer Reading Challenge got up to 6 chances to vote as they progressed through the Challenge, and they made it clear that local park and historic building Byers was important to them. We were so thrilled to hand a staff-raised donation to Dean, along with all the money that patrons donated using our Penny Wars this summer at each Reference Desk.

Congrats to Byers, and if you are a resident who hasn't stopped by the "Duck Farm" in a while, make sure to check out their antique store, stroll the grounds, or feed the ducks this year!

Commerce Township Community Library cardholders just got a brand new feature in their Libby App, and we want to make sure you know all about it! 🥳

Our library has reciprocal lending partnerships with 15 (count 'em, 15!) other library systems in the Libby App. In the past, we would update you one by one as new partner libraries were added, asking you to add each library to your app one at a time. If you think that sounds time consuming, do we have great news for you!

From now on, when you log into your Libby App, Libby will automatically include all of our library partners without you having to add them yourself. What's even better, Libby will show the best availability for titles you browse from all of your partner libraries! This way you know exactly which copy will get to you fastest.
