🛒 **The Falcon Nest Food Shelf Distribution!** 🛒

Join us TODAY for our **2nd monthly distribution** of the school year, provided in partnership with Hope for the Community!

📅 **Date:** Tuesday, October 27

⏰ **Time:** 3:15 PM – 5:15 PM

📍 **Location:** Enter through Door 10 (park in the south lot or near the curb)

**What to Expect:**

• **First-time visitors:** You’ll complete a quick registration form and receive reusable red Hope for the Community bags.

• **Returning visitors:** Please remember to bring back your red bags from our first distribution! No re-registration is needed.

• **Items Available (First-come, first-served):** Bulk potatoes, bulk pears, sweet corn, pineapple, grapefruit, half-gallon milk, flax milk, apple juice, frozen boneless chicken breasts, sugar-free popsicles (orange, cherry, grape), canned mini beef ravioli, mac & cheese, and canned baked beans.

📌 *Mark your calendar! The Falcon Nest hosts distributions on the 4th Tuesday of every month, September through May.*

Students need to ATTEND school to ACHIEVE in school. Anoka-Hennepin Schools aims to share attendance resources and tips with families to support student success.

Every day counts: 💯 Research shows that missing 10 percent of school negatively affects a student’s academic performance. That’s just two days a month! (Attendance Works.)

Why it matters: The more involved students are in school, the more likely they are to enjoy and want to attend school.

Students who attend school 95% of the time are:
•More likely to be on track to graduate on time. ⌛
•Do better in reading and math. 📚
•Are less likely to fail a class. ⭐
•Are more likely to have the credits needed to graduate. 🎓

Families can make a difference: We can all work together to support students. Consider how you can help:

•🎒Teach your child to organize their clothes, lunch and books for school the night before, so they are prepared in the morning.
• 🎭 Encourage your child to participate in before- or after-school activities. Students who are involved at school usually enjoy school more and are more likely to want to attend each day.
• 🩺 Schedule non-emergency health and dental appointments outside of school hours; and schedule vacations for days your children don’t have school.
•📅 If you know your child needs to miss school, contact the office as soon as possible to coordinate plans as soon as possible.

⚽❤️ That’s a wrap on girls soccer! ❤️⚽

What a great way to close out the season! It was a beautiful day for soccer, and it was wonderful to hear so many C**n Rapids parents and grandparents cheering on our team from the sidelines. Thank you to Coach Francisco Duran for leading the girls this season and to all the families who showed their support. Congratulations to our C**n Rapids girls on a great season! We’re proud of you!

We are excited to officially welcome Annika Gaskins as our new student council Chief Media Officer.

Principal Seals was so impressed with Annika’s fabulous loudspeaker announcement today—her very first official duty—that he just had to celebrate with her right after. The energy was palpable!

Annika will be a huge asset in helping keep parents and families up to date on our page this year. Check out her full announcement below to meet the rest of the new Student Council:
