Our food distribution is tonight! We are open from 3:15-5:15.

We have our food distribution this week, WEDNESDAY, 5/20/26, from 3:15-5:15. Families may enter our school through Door 10 and park in the south lot or near the curb. We will provide reusable Hope for the Community red bags for your first visit, and you can bring these back for future visits. We have a short registration form (name, number of people in your household, zip code, and signature), and once you complete it, you are registered for the school year.

We are expecting these items: bulk apples, bulk potatoes, d'anjou pears, half gallon milk, frozen chicken breasts, hoagie rolls, collagen/protein shakes (chocolate), garbanzo beans (dry), black turtle beans (dry), cereal, mac and cheese, white rice, Healthy Request chicken noodle soup, raisins, corn puffs (dill pickle), plus anything leftover from last month. Everything is always first-come, first-served.

Everything must go as this is our last month for this school year.

We are a Hope for the Community site. The other nearby location is their Blaine site, which is open to you as well. They have a weekly Thursday curbside pickup from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

May 4-8, 2026 is being celebrated as Employee Appreciation Week across the school district, recognizing the significant impact that staff at all sites make for students. You can join us in honoring, recognizing and celebrating school district staff! Consider a few ideas to show your appreciation:

• Encourage your student to share a handwritten note of appreciation for a staff member that impacts their days at school.

• Consider sending a staff member a simple email message to let them know that their work and the connections they make with your student matters.

• Share a smile, and/or tell a staff member how they make a difference for your student or your family.

• Get involved in your school’s Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) and see if there are ways you can volunteer or donate as a token of appreciation.

Each day, approximately 8,000 Anoka-Hennepin Schools staff members work to make an impact on nearly 37,000 students! There are a lot of numbers that go into the work that is accomplished across the district:

•Supporting learning at 47 schools.
•Serving 13 communities with over 253,222 residents.
•Over 3,290 graduated in 2025.
•27,500 lunches served daily.
•35,000 miles traveled by school transportation each day.

…are just some of the MANY numbers we have been accounting for.

Our school district may have the most students, or the most staff - but only ONE number matters: Anoka-Hennepin Schools staff members are the ONE that prepare students for life.
