Missing person Sharon Holsman aka Sharon Welsh

Described as 59 y/o female 5'7' medium build, blond hair, blue eyes.

Sharon was last seen this morning at approx. 0530 hours on August 19th, 2026. Sharon has been developing early onset Alzheimer's Disease. Her phone, wallet, ID, and credit cards were left behind, and is believed to be operating her 2016 White Volkswagen Passat, PA registration LDP-5530.

Any information on Sharon or her whereabouts are asked to call the Lehigh County Dispatch non-emergency number (610) 437-5252 or 911 if it is an emergency.

Today concludes this week's training at the Coplay Police Department! Officers from across the region received valuable professional development and hands-on instruction provided by the Institute of Law Enforcement Education (ILEE) .🚓

If you heard loud commands coming from behind the Coplay Police Department today, don’t worry—you weren’t witnessing an emergency. 🚨🚓

We were hosting High-Risk Vehicle Stops training with law enforcement officers from agencies throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. Realistic training scenarios, including the use of patrol vehicles and PA systems, help officers build the skills, communication, and teamwork needed to respond safely and effectively when real emergencies occur.

Missing Juvenile

Jeremy Sanchez Albelo

5'10 150 lbs curly black hair with diamond earrings.

Jeremy had an argument with his father and left his residence on Sunday afternoon on N. Front St. in Coplay. His siblings have been looking for him for two days.

Jeremy was last seen in all black and having a tan one strap back pack and unknown destination. Any information on his whereabouts please contact Coplay Police Department.

A special thank you to the United States Deputy Sheriff's Association for providing Point Blank ballistics vests for our new officers and replacing our old vests as well.

Donations such as this are a blessing and able to keep our officers well equipped with good fitting gear, and put our funds in other needs.

At Tuesday night's Emergency Services Committee Meeting, Coplay Police Department swore in two new full time officers.

Officer James Miskanic #42 and Thomas Morris III #43 were sworn in as Coplay's newest full time officers. They are recent graduates of the Allentown Police Academy and both have begun FTO training to have them working in the field within the next few months. Congratulations to them both and welcome aboard.

Chief Ryan Emerich also recognized officers of the Coplay Police Department for their hard work and professionalism.

Ofc. Thomas Dunleavy was awarded a Citation of Valor for his proactive police work and integrity.

Ofc. Christine Trauger was recognized with a Meritorious Citation for her profound work in mental health and social services skills. Ofc. Trauger has displayed life saving work with those who have been in their darkest hours.

Ofc. Juan Araujo was honored for a Courage Citation. Araujo recently was able to rejoin the force after a major medical emergency. His bravery to come back is an inspiration to all who serve with him that hard work is rewarded.
