Traveling this summer? Looking for poolside reads? Try the paperback exchange! Pick out a book or several for FREE! No need to worry about forgetting them on airplanes, dropping them in the pool, or due dates!

These are free paperback books you can take home forever or just for a bit. When you are finished you can pass them on to a friend or bring them back to the front desk for the next person to enjoy.

The Paperback Exchange shelf is located on the back wall near the Quiet Reading Room.

If you pay for lost or damaged items at the Library, there will be a change coming soon. The US Treasury has retired the penny, and we are, too! Pennies will continue to be accepted as payment, but effective May 4, 2026, they will no longer be given as change.

Patrons are strongly encouraged to bring exact change or pay by check or with credit card. Charges may be rounded up as a small donation when making change.

The Cozby Library and our Utility Billing department will no longer use pennies as the US Treasury as stopped producing them.

You can still pay with pennies, but we've made a few changes as to how we'll use them.

‼️Changes are coming for Reservable Rooms ‼️

Effective as of May 4, 2026, all requests for rooms at the Cozby Library and Community Commons will be subject to our updated guidelines. coppelltx.gov/m/newsflash/home/detail/1882

Here are a few of the changes:
Study Rooms A, B, and C will be available for reservations.
All requests must be made no more than three (3) months in advance or less than seven (7) days in advance.
Meeting Room availability is limited to Monday - Thursday, 9 am - 7:30 pm and Friday, 10 am - 4:30 pm
Same-day use of the Conference Room is limited to Library cardholders with accounts in good standing.

As the Library rolls out implementation of room-locking technology that integrates with its reservation software, cardholders will be required to use their library card to gain access to the rooms.

Our new reservation software is also scheduled to be available starting May 4. Thank you for your patience while we transition to the new system.
