Our office also rents the fairgrounds exhibit hall and the legion hall near the fairgrounds entrance. The exhibit hall is a skating rink with lots of skates and rollerblades in good shape. The legion hall is smaller but has a kitchen and access to the beautiful park with a gazebo, charcoal grills, and picnic tables with large shade trees.

Poles and tackle will be available from 9 AM to noon
Join us at OL’ McDonald Pond at Boise Cascade Park on Galena Street.

The pond has already been stuck twice by fish and game recently.

**Free Fishing Day at Ol' McDonald Pond**

Join us at Ol' McDonald Pond, located in Boise Cascade Park on Galena Street in Council, for Free Fishing Day on **Saturday, June 13, 2026**!

No fishing license is required for this special event. Fishing poles and tackle will be available from **9:00 a.m. to noon**.

The pond was stocked with fish a few weeks ago and will be stocked again shortly before the event, making it a great opportunity for anglers of all ages to enjoy a day of fishing.

Experienced anglers are encouraged to attend and share their knowledge with beginners. If you have fishing expertise, please consider helping newcomers learn the basics and experience the excitement of catching their first fish!
