Open your home to the world this summer through 4-H International Youth Exchange! We are seeking caring host families from July 22–August 14 for two amazing youth delegates visiting from Japan or South Korea. This is a unique opportunity to build lifelong friendships, share American culture, and create unforgettable memories for your family.
The Roland Family is hosting a teen this summer in Adams County. This will be their 4th time hosting because this program is so unique and fun! Expect to see our family with our teen at the county fair and at other activities during their stay, while also giving him a normal day-to-day experience in our family.
Meet the students that still need host families:
**Eko (12, female)**
A positive, cheerful, and outgoing student who loves sports, gymnastics, tennis, camping, boating, singing, baseball, and trying new foods. Eko is talented in piano and rhythmic gymnastics and is excited to fully experience life as part of an American family. She’s eager to participate in everyday activities and “try everything!”
**Riko (13, male)**
A cheerful and considerate student who enjoys soccer, movies, TV, art, video games, and Pokémon. Riko is passionate about soccer and hopes to share his culture by teaching his host family how to play Kendama, a traditional Japanese skill game.
Host families do not need to plan extravagant vacations or activities—simply including these youth in your daily life creates a meaningful cultural exchange experience for everyone involved.
You do need to have a child of similar age already in your home so they can engage with peers.
